Drilling of deep borehole  at Child Hope primary school Kerepi payam.

Bengo with the support of IAS German have given funded to CAWP and EDOOSS to drill four boreholes, construct 20 Bio-sand fiters and introduce school garden in four schools in Pageri administrative area.

The water points werer allocated in the schools, to easy learning and improve water hygiene and sanitation of the pupils and the community around the schools

 

So far three boreholes drilled, 20 bio-sand filter constructed

Construction of Bio-sand filter for the community who live near by the river Aswa

 

 EDOOSS have constructed 20 Bio-sand filter ready for distribution to the people of Pageri county.

 

The bio-Sand filters will be distributed to the people living near by the river bank, and areas which boreholes are not drilled.

 

It is first of it kind that this technology being introduce to the people of pageri area.

           

Introduction of feeding programm in four schools in Pageri area

School garden programm which carter a cross long term crops and vegetable garden was introduce by EDOOSS in the four school in pageri administrative area.

 

Agricultural tools, seed and fund for ploughing garden were given to the school management to improve the learning and reduce movment of pupils during the breaks.

Parent supports were realised during this initive.

PUMP TECHICIAN TRAINING

CAWP AND EDOOSS, have trained school children and community members on how to do a simply rehabilitation/repair of the borehole.

 

Schools will be equips with more training on proper management and sustainability of their water points.

 

Fees collection from water users will help the school able to buy pipes and rods for better maintanence fo their boreholes

 

County pump mechanics will be of great help in supporting the school with repair tools


 


Lastest development in the field at Pageri administrative area

The new borehole drilled for Kerepi child Hope primary school was immediately fenced as a good sign of ownership

for easy management of the water point and good controll mechanism for proper sustainability

Embassy of Japan support to Moli Tokuro Primary School improved water, hygiene and sanitation for the community of     

Moli Tokuro

 

Moli Primary school new sanitary facility constructed by CAWP as part of

the project for water hygiene and sanitation to improve the live of the

pupils in the school as well as the community of Moli Tokuro Boma


 


IAS 25 YEARS IN SOUTH SUDAN

 

International Aid Service together with it partners celebrated the 25years of service in South Sudan. The celebration took place at ECSS compound Yei County. The founder Mr. Leif Zetterlund and his Partners Mr. Yona Lemi Executive Director CAWP. Rev. Angupale Moses Overseer National Pentecostal church of Uganda commenting each other for the great work done during those old days when the Country did not obtain independant from Norther Sudan - Khartoum.

Local News (Referrendum bicyle)

Referrendum Bicyle.

 

Yei County was know as one of the county which enjoyed the happy moment of compaigs for referrendum and after the voting.

 

The attached photo is one of the tallest bicyle in the whole of South Sudan and it was only found in Yei. The bicyle know to belong to Mr. Wani Mandela former IAS staff.

 

During the celebration of the final announcement for the  referrendum result, the bicyle was used as tool of joy for the city to see the new change in the up coming new country.

Mini water yards

The construction of the three mini water yards for Kajo-Keji county is on progress. CAWP has engaged in the last week in transporting construction materials from Koboko  liasion office to Kaji-Keji CAWP base office. The logistician reported his office is so busy with sorting out the heavier metal from the breakable one.
